In Thunderbird, you should create a [Process Later] folder to help you triage email. If triaging becomes burdensome, you will place “May Do” emails here. You will process them later, during regularly-scheduled processing time.

To create the [Process Later] folder:

  1. In the Folders pane on the left side of Thunderbird, highlight the location where you want to create the new folder.
  2. Right-click and select New Folder (or New Subfolder).
  3. In the New Folder dialog box, type “[Process Later]” as your new folder name, including the brackets. The Create as a Subfolder of option lets you decide where to put it.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Add [Process Later] to your list of collection points in your regular processing appointment, near the bottom.
