Follow these steps to configure Todoist effectively for TRO:

  • Log in to your Todoist account.
  • Delete Filters created by Todoist:
    • Click Filters (left pane)
    • Click opposite Assigned to me, Delete filter, then (pop up).
    • Click opposite Assigned to others, Delete filter, then (pop up).
    • Click opposite Priority 1, Delete filter, then (pop up).
    • Click opposite Priority 2, Delete filter, then (pop up).
    • Click opposite Priority 3, Delete filter, then (pop up).
    • Click opposite Priority 4, Delete filter, then (pop up).
    • Click opposite No due date, Delete filter, then (pop up).
  • Click (upper right), then Settings.
  • Click General (left pane).
    • Under General, set the following: Start page to Inbox and Smart date recognition to No, thanks.
    • Under Emails, set the following: Daily digest to No, thanks, Newsletter to No, thanks, and Tips and Tricks to No, thanks.
  • Click (top right).
  • Add Labels (Soft Dates):
    • Click Labels (left pane).
    • Click (left pane).
    • Input Today in .
    • Click (left pane).
    • Input This Week in .
    • Click .
    • Click (left pane).
    • Input Next Week in .
    • Click .
    • Click (left pane).
    • Input This Month in .
    • Click .
    • Click (left pane).
    • Input Next Month in .
    • Click .
    • Click (left pane).
    • Input Someday/Maybe in .
    • Click .
