- Open Google Calendar.
- Add a new calendar:
- See the left-hand side, below your current calendars.
- (Leave the “normal” calendar alone, you use that for regular appointments.)
- Click on Add.
- Name the calendar: “(Personal)”.
- Set the Calendar Time Zone.
- Click Create Calendar at the top of the page.
- Repeat the steps above for each major life area. Always enter the name of life area in parentheses.
- Choose colors for each life area by clicking the arrow on the calendar name (at the left, then clicking the color).
This creates a series of “calendars” called (Personal), (Work), etc. on the left-hand side of your screen. All of these together make up your Strategic Calendar. Clicking each name (at the left) toggles whether the calendar is showing or not.
To see your entire strategic calendar, click calendar names on the left until all life areas appear, any other calendars do not appear.
See Your Strategic Calendar for the remaining instructions for filling in your strategic calendar.
