To create a [Deferred] folder for your resource emails in Thunderbird:

  1. In the Folders pane on the left side of Thunderbird, highlight the location where you want to create the new folder.
  2. Right-click and select New Folder (or New Subfolder).
  3. In the New Folder dialog box, type “[Deferred]” as your new folder name, including the brackets. The Create as a Subfolder of option lets you decide where to put it.
  4. Click OK.

The [Deferred] folder now appears in the folder list. This is where you will save emails connected to tasks.
