Check the Sort Order
If you don’t see your most-recent tasks at the top of your list, then you probably clicked a column header by accident. (Outlook breaks the sort when you do that.) See sort and grouping instructions in Context Views setup.
After you set up your Recent Tasks view, the Recent Tasks view will be a permanent part of your Current View list. Select Recent Tasks by clicking that radio button.
