What the Check Boxes Mean

You check the box next to tasks when you triage the item into your lists, NOT when you complete it. Your note pages are NOT a task list.

Your planner’s daily note pages are your collection point for unprocessed tasks—there is no separate Unprocessed Tasks list.

Jot tasks down on your note pages as they occur to you. Do not put them in a special section, just include them along with any other notes you take for the day. However, draw checkboxes next to the tasks to make them stand out. You will put these tasks in their homes when you process your notes.

Use a paper clip to mark the oldest daily note page that still has unprocessed tasks (unchecked boxes). This is the place where you left off processing.
