The Today column (1st from the left) is the Do Today list in Trello. See this list by moving the navigation bar at the bottom. In order for this list to be accurate, you need to do your daily review.

Tasks that you must do today should always appear on your Do Today list. There, you can easily focus on them and sure they get done. Some task lists automatically identify Do Today tasks for you, but even so, you always need a way to manually flag a task as Do Today....
