Different Types of Contexts

Contexts group similar tasks into smaller, more efficient lists. Click “details” to see a complete list of TRO contexts.

Multiple Contexts

Assign your task to multiple groups at the same time, so you see your task at the right times and in the right situations.

Contexts

Contexts group similar tasks (or next steps) which can be completed together. This makes you more efficient (and less stressed) because you accomplish more and shift your attention less. See types of contexts and context views.

Contexts

Depending on your task manager, your contexts may be categories, tags, named folders, named lists, or even a Contexts field. Some of these allow multiple values per task, and some allow only one.

Contexts

In Outlook, you use categories for contexts. A sample list of Outlook categories is shown to the right.
